Clifton Rectory restoration commences on site

Work is about to begin on the restoration of the iconic Grade II Listed building The Old Rectory in Clifton Village, Nottingham – with Midlands contractor G F Tomlinson at the helm of the anticipated construction project.

The development, titled Rectory Gardens, will see the historic property saved from dilapidation and restored to its former glory – transforming the Georgian style building into four separate homes titled The Gatehouse, The Lodge, The Cottage and The Rectory, each with their own entrance and garden.

Director of CBP Architects, Simon Birch said: “We are delighted to be working with G F Tomlinson to deliver this exciting project which will restore and renovate the Grade II listed former Rectory and adjoining buildings into high-quality residential homes, with the benefit of a further three top quality residential properties to the rear of the grounds.

“CBP has worked closely with Thomas Street, Conservation Officer for Nottingham City Planning, to ensure that the heritage assets which have survived years of dilapidation are respected and restored as part of the finished design.
