Stanley House is a Grade II listed building sitting on the edge of the Canning Circus conservation area.  Formerly offices and now Student Residential, consisting of 107 units with virtually no alterations to the existing building envelope.  Stanley House, also known as ‘Lambert’s Factory’, is a Grade II listed building built in a Renaissance Revival style in 1863 as a bleaching, dyeing and finishing works for John and William Lambert who were lace dressers. The clock tower to the east of the former factory was rebuilt in the late 20th century following a collapse.
