Simon has a proven track record of developing and maintaining strong client relationships, particularly on large-scale residential and commercial projects, including high-rise HRB buildings. Stephen has extensive expertise in delivering new-build and refurbishment projects across retail, hospitality, and multi-residential sectors. He has successfully led large-scale developments, working closely with clients and contractors to deliver designs that are both compliant and commercially aligned.
His technical expertise spans modern construction methodologies and sustainable design principles, supported by a portfolio featuring award-winning and high-risk residential schemes. In addition, Stephen’s experience as a design manager provides him with a comprehensive understanding of logistical, financial, and regulatory requirements, ensuring projects are executed to the highest standards.
Sheng Shi joined CBP Architects in August 2007 after graduating from the University of Nottingham. As a visionary and strategic Director of Design Management with over 18 years of experience in architectural design, he has led a diverse range of projects across the residential, commercial, healthcare, and conservation sectors. His expertise includes client engagement, conceptual design development, architectural and construction drawings, visual presentations, and close collaboration with project teams. Sheng’s role spans all RIBA stages, requiring a broad scope of professional knowledge and experience to successfully manage and deliver projects from inception to completion.
David has over 24 years of experience in architectural design, construction technology, and historic building conservation across both public and private sectors. He holds an MA in Conservation of Historic Buildings and is an Accredited Conservationist through MCIAT, as well as a council member of IHBC Yorkshire. His portfolio includes civic and education buildings, university campuses, MOD projects, and a wide range of residential, retail, and commercial developments. As a design lead, David manages teams and coordinates projects from inception to completion, consistently delivering high-quality design solutions that meet client needs and expectations.
Matt is a well-established individual within the education sector, with extensive experience leading teams in both refurbishment and new build projects alongside SEND design under a wide range of budgets and clients. Working through all RIBA stages, he is knowledgeable on Building Bulletin, Department of Education Design Standards and Building Regulations.
In addition, Matt’s portfolio includes numerous residential schemes, higher education, offices and civic buildings over 10 years. He has a keen eye for technical detailing over an array of construction methodologies, with sustainability as a core driving principle. BIM management is also one of the many aspects he coordinates within the company.
