The site is situated on the existing site of the former Bridgford lodge care home. The immediate area surrounding the site is a mixture of Edwardian and Victorian buildings and the design concept developed with the Local Authority Planning team, was to replicate the rhythm of the street scene with a series of striking independent free standing gables.

The contemporary style seeks to complement the character of the existing surroundings with a high quality design which sympathetically blends modern methods of construction and materials. The development has been well received by the West Bridgford community and has been hailed as a landmark building for the area.
