The natural History Museum in South Kensington, London, is a Grade I Listed Building in the Gothic Revival style and first opened its doors in 1881. As a conservation accredited practice, CBP Architects have worked closely with stakeholders on a variety of projects throughout the buildings as part of their refurbishment programme to facilitate DDA compliance and Fire Safety upgrading requirements.

CBP have also undertaken an extensive scope of refurbishment works for access and fire compliance works at the NHM’s Tring site in Hertfordshire (Grade II Listed), which included the management of the Planning and Listed Building Consent application process. Working closely with the project managers, heads of departments, and supply chains, we successfully delivered the project up to and including RIBA stage 5 across the Rothschild Building and Ornithology Building.
