The proposal was to demolish the existing building and to construct a new purpose built student accommodation development consisting of 77 beds with a mix of studios and cluster accommodation, plus residents lounge, gym, laundry, TV room and study areas, all located in the Lower Ground floor.

The site is sustainable in terms of its location within easy reach of shops, transportation and entertainment and because of this combined with the use of the building, there will be no provision for car parking. Low energy solutions for heating and ventilating the building are integrated into the design and will surpass the required renewable energy threshold.
